¡Make Art Day, 6 de marzo!
REM Project y Rochester Contemporary Art Center, NYC ahora en su segundo año te invita a ser parte del “Make Art Day” (6×6”MAD) convocamos a las personas de todo el mundo a reunirse con amigos, familiares y compañeros de trabajo para hacer arte que se exhibirá en 6”x6”, el fenómeno internacional del arte pequeño organizado por el Centro de Arte Contemporáneo de Rochester. Al igual que una iniciativa de lectura comunitaria, Make Art Day celebra un día en que organizaciones, empresas, escuelas y familias fomentan y apoyan la realización de pequeñas obras de arte, las mismas se exhibirán antes en REM Project durante marzo y luego se exhibirá en la exposición 6x6x2020 en el Centro de Arte Contemporáneo de Rochester en Junio 2020 and 2021.
Las obras se pintan el día 6 de marzo, su valor de venta es $20.00 no importa persona que lo a de pintar, los mismos son pro fondos Rochester Contemporary Art Center.
6×6 Make Art Day encourages people from across the globe and throughout Rochester to gather with friends, family, and coworkers to make art that will be exhibited in 6×6 the international small art phenomenon. Like a community reads initiative meets Super Bowl Sunday for creatives, Make Art Day defines a time when hundreds of families, businesses, organizations, schools and individuals gather to make small artworks; sharing and promoting the creative act. Each 6”x6” piece is then exhibited at Rochester Contemporary Art Center (RoCo) in June.
Each summer Rochester Contemporary Art Center’s 6×6 exhibition brings together thousands of original artworks, made and donated by celebrities, international & local artists, designers, youth and YOU. Each artist may enter up to three artworks of any medium (2D or 3D). Artworks must be six inches square and signed only on the back, to be exhibited anonymously. Participation is free. All artworks will be exhibited and for sale to the public for $20 each to benefit RoCo. Artists’ names will be revealed to the buyer upon purchase and all artworks remain on display through the end of the exhibition. Limit three artworks per school or school group (no limit for colleges).
