In a collaborative project that aims to establishing connections among artists, international galleries and other art institutions, REM Project presents a new location in the Puerto Rico’s current art scene, dedicated exclusively to neon as a plastic medium in the history of art. To highlight the international character of this proposal, REM Project turns its ZONAMACO 2020 booth into a preliminary show from this new art space, featuring artists who have used this medium at some point in their careers. At the same time, the Gallery invites other artists to propose designs that will be recreated by the neonist and co-founder of the new project, Yan Oquendo, to be presented at the official opening of “La Galería Internacional del Neón” planned to open shortly. We are located at the Main Section in New Proposal Area Booth NP-13. New Proposal is a section curated by José Esparza Chong Cuy.

En un proyecto colaborativo con miras a establecer conexiones entre artistas, galerías y otras instituciones internacionales, REM Project presenta un nuevo espacio en la escena artística actual de Puerto Rico dedicado exclusivamente al neón como medio plástico en la historia del arte. Para resaltar el carácter internacional de esta propuesta, REM Project transforma su puesto en ZONAMACO 2020 en una antesala a este nuevo espacio mediante una exhibición de artistas que han utilizado este medio en algún punto de sus carreras. Al mismo tiempo, la Galería invita a otros artistas a diseñar neones que serán realizados por el neonista y cofundador de la Galería Yan Oquendo y se presentarán en la apertura oficial de la Galería Internacional del Neón proyectada a inaugurarse próximamente. Estaremos ubicados en el sección main en el area de propuestas nuevas booth NP-13. Nuevas propuesta es una sección curada por José Esparza Chong Cuy.
