About

REM Project is a contemporary and modern art gallery founded in 2009 in Santurce, San Juan, Puerto Rico, by Roberto Escobar Molina. The gallery’s curatorial program is developed from San Juan, maintaining a strong connection to its local context while engaging global artistic discourse.

Expanding its international presence, REM Project has established a new gallery space in Venice (Via Garibaldi 1735), creating a direct platform between Puerto Rico and one of the most influential art contexts in the world.

The gallery’s curated exhibitions, under the direction of REM Escobar, focus on Caribbean, Latin American, and international artists, emphasizing Afrofuturism, the Global South, decolonization, feminism, and digital art—positioning REM Project within critical contemporary discourse and the global art market.

REM Project works through collaborations with artists, galleries, and institutions to support Puerto Rican artists and expand their international presence. Its approach goes beyond traditional representation, creating opportunities for meaningful exchange and connection with global art networks.
